Israel is small but with much to see and do!
Israel is a tiny country but the number of tourist attractions in Israel makes it a destination that you come back to, time after time, always discovering new sites, sounds and experiences.
With so many tourist attractions in Israel, it's hard to know where to start when recommending what to see in Israel. So, for now, I'll concentrate on the North of Israel which offers visitors perhaps the biggest variety of tourist attractions in Israel.
One of the most popular places to visit in Jerusalem is the Old Walled City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This walled city with its colorful Market (shuk) draws visitors to the many Holy sites in Jerusalem within its walls: the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Via Dolorosa with the stations of the Cross, the 7th century Dome of the Rock Mosque with its golden dome and the 2000 year old Wailing Wall, the last remnant of Solomon's Temple and the most sacred spot in the world for Jews.
From Haifa to Metulla - an amazing "what to see in Israel" list
When you're trying to decide from all of the tourist attractions in Israel what you want to see in the North I'd like to suggest that you concentrate on the Galil – Israel's "Tuscany" or "Little Switzerland". No "what to see in Israel" list would be complete without at least a few days in the green, rolling hills of the Galil with romantic locations such as Rosh Pina, Safed, Nazareth, Tiberius and the Golan one of the many spectacular tourist attractions in Israel...
What makes the Galil so popular?
The amazing diversity, the scenery and some of the most beautiful and significant tourist attractions in Israel makes any visit special. And when you stay at one of the top quality Rimonim hotels, what was already special now becomes exceptional!
Safed is a small and ancient city, nestling in the Galilee hills. Narrow, winding cobbled streets with an Artists Quarter in the Old City, many ancient synagogues and the center for the study of the Kabala, Safed offers the visitor staying at the 77 room, boutique Ruth Rimonim hotel an unforgettable experience that enriches the mind and the soul.
The Ruth Rimonim is also a great place to start your exploration of the many beauty spots in the surrounding hills, the boutique wineries, artisan cheese makers, fine restaurants and miles upon miles of lush woodlands with many hiking trails.
Nazareth is where Jesus grew up as a child. Indeed, the Galilee region is where he began his journey and this region is full of sites holy to Christianity. The Rimonim Nazareth is situated in an ancient building, completely renovated and refurbished to provide luxury and comfort during your stay.
Situated close to the traditional Suk or Market, is just a short walk from the Basilica of the Annunciation and other sites where Jesus grew up and preached – the Nazareth Rimonim, with its blend of all that is good from Western and Eastern cultures is the ideal place to stay when exploring this ancient and vibrant city.
Tiberius on the shores of the Sea of Galilee is a city special to both Jews and Christians and should definitely be on your "what to see in Israel" list. The city and area have a lot more to offer as well – natural mineral springs, the warm waters of the Sea of Galilee and many antiquities.
Choose from two of the Rimonim chain's luxurious hotels – the Rimonim Galei Kinnereth on the shores of the Sea of Galilee and offering guests unparalleled standards of luxury, comfort and service or the Rimonim Mineral Hotel, next to Tiberius natural mineral springs and spa. As with all Rimonim Hotels, they live up to the chain's motto – "A place to Relax in Israel".
